Academic Background
Andrew V. Krebs, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Corrections Institute in the School of Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. In his current research, Dr. Krebs explores the relationship between criminal justice and mental health care systems in the United States. Specifically, he is interested in the occupational role and experience of mental health professionals working in various justice-oriented settings (e.g. pre-arrest diversion, corrections, and re-entry). Prior to joining the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) in 2021, Dr. Krebs received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin (2020), M.A. in Sociology from DePaul University (2012), and B.A. in Sociology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2010). Dr. Krebs is also a proud graduate of Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH. Sursum Ad Summum.
